Operations

Lauren Weeks
CEO

Lauren has been volunteering with the charity for four years, and running the operations team for three. Her background is in the tech industry and has been involved in managing large scale projects and people. She is dedicated to the charity and seeing it succeed, bringing her business experience in where possible. The main reason for her passion for the charity is seeing the real life benefit it brings to individuals in Uganda.

Samantha Dodd
Fundraising Lead

Samantha brings over 15 years experience in corporate partnerships and over 5 years experience as a fundraiser in the UK charity sector. She also bring a passion for vocational training through previous experience creating apprenticeships and working in careers education. She aims to combine this experience to support more young people in Uganda into jobs they love.

Ron Richardson
Treasurer

Ron is a seasoned Chartered Accountant from South Africa, with decades of experience in accounting, audit, and financial management. Now settled in the UK, Ron is eager to continue his commitment to giving back by volunteering his expertise to Path to Prosper.





Trustees

Jess Severe

Jess is an NHS doctor specialising in paediatrics and child health and has been working with the charity since 2011. In this time, she has conducted extensive field work in Bududa embedding the charity within the community. She has a deep understanding of the barriers young people face when accessing education and has played a key role in implementing projects such as the charity's period poverty campaign.

Kate Fitzgerald

Kate Fitzgerald is a Branding and Marketing Manager with a background in Theatre, Music and the Arts. She has worked in a creative capacity with companies around Ireland and also Los Angeles. She began work with Path To Prosper in 2020 and came on board to be a key contributor to the rebranding of the charity and its online presence. As Head of Branding, Kate ensures that the charity's aesthetic is cohesive across all platforms and remains recognisable and unique.

Thomas Stewart

Thomas Stewart is a GP who has extensive experience delivering healthcare and development programmes in resource-poor settings. He has worked with communities, governments and international organisations to improve health outcomes in Uganda, Kenya, Liberia, Turkey, Iraq and Syria.

 

Rachael Shearer

Rachael Shearer is a Communications Director working across brand, PR & marketing. She has worked with many public arts projects and organisations around the world, primarily New York, London and the Middle East. She began working with Path To Prosper in 2020. As Head of Communications, Rachael oversees the charity’s messaging, and works closely with the team on branding, social media, and fundraising.




Caroline Kennedy

Caroline is a NHS doctor specialising in reproductive and sexual health and has worked with this community in Bududa since 2011. She has spent multiple periods of time in Bududa, learning from locals about their needs and is passionate about supporting this community to achieve their goals in a sustainable manner.

 

Joel Nashimolo (Uganda)

Joel was one of the first students to join the Path to Prosper programme and in 2023 he graduated from Kampala University with a diploma in Pharmacy. Since graduating he has been invited to join our team of volunteers as a Trustee Advisor.
