Our Ugandan Team

Brenda

Brenda has been an integral part of Path to Prosper since its inception 12 years ago and transitioned with us from the Shelo Foundation in 2020. She has personally supported many students in her personal life and home. She is such a character and a vital member of the Path to Prosper team.

"The experience of working with different types of people and overcoming different situations has been enriching for me. The spirit of teamwork at Path to Prosper is wonderful," said Brenda.

Justine

Justine came on board with Path to Prosper as Education lead 3 years ago and works primarily with Bududa Vocational Academy to ensure our students have all the resources and support they need. She is vital in gathering background information on each student and keeping all reports and certifications

She also looks after us very well when we come to visit! She is incredibly hospitable and is completely selfless ensuring everyone around her has everything they need before herself.

Bududa Vocational Academy

BVA is a school at the heart of Bududa district. It supports many local young adults to receive a high level of education of their choosing. They support not only through education, but also accommodation and meals, which in this area of Uganda is vital. The quality of teaching and resources is phenomenal and we are very proud to have this educational institution to send our students to.

Robert is our main contact and is in charge of running the day of the school, he's very passionate and commited to seeing the students get an education.

The school was founded by Barbara Wybar who 19 years ago visited the Bududa district and saw the poverty and wanted to help. She's an incredibly inspirational woman and we feel very lucky to have met.
